Justin Anderson For more than 10 years, Wolmer’s Alumni Association, Toronto Chapter, has hosted a Luncheon Concert which has become the gold standard of events among Alumni Associations in Toronto.
A 4-course dining experience and world-class entertainment from some of our cultures best performers. Guests are transported through time with current chart toppers and classic hits, stunts and skits form our talented hosts and volunteers bringing back schoolyard memories and joyous tears.
Our Annual Luncheon Concert raises funds in excess of Cdn$100,000 or JA$90million for Wolmer’s Schools in Kingston, Jamaica.
Much of this is done through live and Silent Auctions featuring:
- Vouchers and Gift Certificates
- Concert Tickets
- Premier Hotels, Resorts and Spa facilities in Jamaica and Canada
- Premier sporting events (NBA basketball, NHL hockey, golf courses across Ontario)
- Original works of art and crafts by Jamaican and internationally renowned artists
- Luxury Gift Baskets
Additional funds are raised through cash draws, sponsorships and advertising in our program of events
The Great Luncheon Concert is our signature fundraising event fueling our mission. Proceeds mainly support our on-going initiatives: the provision of scholarships to students pursuing post-secondary education in Jamaica, and Canada, as well as various leadership development initiatives for students identified as “future leaders”.
